Membership is open to anyone who is hirsute/bearish or admires them. There are no physical characteristics required for any type of membership. All members must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Active members are defined as those in good standing with the Bylaws and current with the dues required for their membership type. The Carolina Bear Lodge does not prohibit membership in any other club or organization.

Types of Memberships

Individual Memberships
Active Individual Members are entitled to the following rights and privileges:

• Attend all meetings and functions of the Carolina Bear Lodge.
• Receive publications and regular mailings.
• Serve on the Board of Directors or act in any designated capacity on any committee or assigned position.
• Vote on all issues that require a vote of the general membership.
• Receive a membership card for identification as a member.
• Receive discounts on Carolina Bear Lodge events and merchandise when available.
• Be listed in the Membership Directory.
• Nominate individuals to the Board of Directors.
• Nominate individuals for Honorary and Lifetime Membership awards.
• Wear a Carolina Bear Lodge back patch and distribute Friendship Pins.

Couple Memberships
Couple Memberships are available to two active members in a domestic relationship. Both members are entitled to the same rights and privileges as Individual Members, except they will receive only one copy of the newsletter and other mailings.

Associate Memberships
Associate Memberships are available to those who do not wish to be full members in the Carolina Bear Lodge. Active Associate Members are entitled to the same rights and privileges except they cannot vote, nominate members for elections or awards, serve on the Board of Directors and committees, or wear a Carolina Bear Lodge back patch.

At the end of the registration process you can either pay by Paypal or print our your email confirmation to mail in with a personal check.
